The first ever Scott Ashby reunion was this summer-- basically just a chance to get together with my parents and all my siblings with their kids and go somewhere to relax and vacation. It was awesome.
The view of the house from the front.
The house we rented was amazing! It had 4 master suites and a huge common living area and kitchen, as well as an upstairs loft that the kids could be noisy in. It worked perfectly for our growing family.
As you've probably figured out if you've happened to visit our blog more than a couple times, we take a lot of pictures. At the end of our adventure we had almost 1000 pictures! No joke. I realize I can't put them all here, but I HAD to put the ones that I did. Here are some of our highlights, with pictures to follow: Sandcastles, kite flying, cooking, eating, Tillamook Cheese Factory, Lighthouses, Giant trees, Sea Lion Caves, Whale Watching, beach cook-out and RC cars. EPIC.

Madeleine and Lydia excited to go to the beach and make sandcastles.
Lydia touching a Sea Anemone for the first time.
One of the coolest parts of our beach house was the nearby tide pools! There were so many colorful anemones and starfish! I loved it :)
Hannah's entire fist inside a giant anemone.
Ready for our zodiac whale watching adventure!
We got so close! It was actually almost a little scary at times--whales are huge! This is Blanca.
Chef Tyler impressing the grandkids with his awesome pizza making skills.
Making their own pizzas.
Waiting.... and waiting for lunch at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It took so long that they ended up giving us our food free. Other than the bad wait, an awesome and delicious place to visit.
Mmm... Tillamook Ice Cream

Charlotte
The Octopus Tree! It was between 250 and 300 years old. They think that the Native Americans sort of made it grow like this by strategic cutting. This is ONE tree.

Looking at the Sea Lion skeleton.
The Smith kids really liked the Sea Lion skeleton. And begged "Uncle Michael" to take a picture of them with it to show their parents. Little scientists in the making.
Playing on the Sea Lions
At the Aqaurim in Newport, watching the Sea Lions being fed.
Sam wanted a picture of him touching the sea star. Doesn't he look excited?
I love jelly fish. Seeing them behind glass, not touching them.
Michael in the Shark Tunnel
Emma, Me and Hannah sitting on a Sea Turtle. Vanessa in the area somewhere too...

And Tyler survived.
Lydia was not happy that Uncle Tyler was leaving a day early.

It was freezing! But we couldn't keep the kids out of the water.
I love this picture. I took it the second I noticed the reflection.

Sparkler Fun!
Also, we took family pictures! Here is a cute little video that Michael put together that will give you a pretty good idea about how well it went :)
